The album Kiss : Destroyer, released in 1976, is one of the most iconic and influential albums in rock history. The album was recorded in just two weeks and spawned some of the band's biggest hits, including "Detroit Rock City", "God of Thunder" and "Rock and Roll All Nite". The album was a commercial success, reaching No. 11 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified platinum by the RIAA. Destroyer is considered one of the heaviest and most aggressive albums Kiss ever released, and helped define the sound of hard rock in the 1970s. The album has been cited as an influence by many bands, including Metallica, Guns N' Roses and Motley Crue.
