Pink Floyd is an iconic British rock band that was formed in London in 1965. The group initially earned recognition for their psychedelic and space rock music and later evolved to become pioneers of progressive rock. Pink Floyd's classic lineup consisted of Syd Barrett, Roger Waters, Richard Wright, Nick Mason, and David Gilmour. Barrett, the original frontman, was replaced by Gilmour in 1968 due to his deteriorating mental health. The band gained international acclaim with their concept albums such as "The Dark Side of the Moon" (1973), "Wish You Were Here" (1975), "Animals" (1977), and "The Wall" (1979). These albums are known for their complex musical structures, philosophical lyrics, and elaborate live shows.
