In 2016, this long player was reissued, completely remastered as an LP and double CD with additional highlights. Tarkus" was originally released in 1971. The rock suite definitely sealed the band's breakthrough. The album even reached number one in the UK charts. In Germany, it reached number four. Both the double CD (Deluxe Edition) and the LP contain a high-density 24-bit remaster of the original album. The Deluxe Edition bonus CD also includes a stereo mix of Alternate 2012 by star producer Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) and three bonus tracks "Oh My Father", "Unknown Ballad" and "Mass (Alternate Take)".
