Opona se zvedá pro The Last Shadow Puppets a vítejte ve věku podceňování! Alex Turner, zpěvák a frontman Arctic Monkeys, a Miles Kane, kytarista liverpoolských indie rockerů The Rascals, se prostě chtěli věnovat své společné vášni pro Scotta Walkera, raného Bowieho a Davida Axelroda. Oba se potkali, když byli Arctic Monkeys na turné s The Little Flames, Kaneovou bývalou kapelou. Toto přátelství a láska k orchestrálnímu popu konce 60. a začátku 70. let vyústila ve dvanáct plnokrevných a téměř pobuřujících písní plných dramatu, vtipu a melodie. Písně byly nahrány bubeníkem a producentem Jamesem Fordem (Arctic Monkeys, Klaxons) v létě 2007 poblíž francouzského Nantes. Skladby pak zaranžoval kanadský houslista Owen Pallettaka Final Fantasy a nahrál je s 22členným London Metropolitan Orchestra. Podtrženo, sečteno: The Last Shadow Puppets jsou superskupinou roku!
