'Backbone' is the title of the British rock icons' 33rd studio effort, their first album without Rick Parfitt, who died in 2016. Status Quo wrote eleven new songs for the album and recorded them in Francis Rossi's studio between late 2018 and early 2019. And while Parfitt's death is a bitter loss for the band and the music world, Status Quo show with "Backbone" that they are still one of the most important rock bands in the world.
