Slade was formed in 1966. However, the quartet's decisive impetus came from the advent of glam rock. During its six peak years, Slade released more than 15 Top 20 singles, some of which reached number one. Their peak period was brief, but Slade left behind a lasting legacy that can still be felt today. Even the big bands covered their hit singles. The 2CD release will contain 43 tracks. The 2LP package will contain only 24 tracks. All of the tracks selected for this collection come from all of the albums released (with the exception of Beginnings, which the band released as Ambrose Slade) and include non-album tracks.
