"A Saucerful of Secrets" was Pink Floyd's second album after "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn". During the recording sessions at Abbey Road in late 1967/1968, Syd Barrett's mental problems became more and more severe, and even two of his songs were not included on the album. The band was looking for a second guitarist: at first Jeff Beck was considered, but he proved too expensive. The choice eventually fell on David Gilmour, a friend of the band. Gilmour played the last tracks for the album himself. The final break-up with Syd Barrett then took place in April 1968. Pink Floyd's second album is finally back on vinyl Pink Floyd fans have been waiting impatiently for this album. The rock legends gradually reissued all their albums on LP. In June 2016, the band's first four records, including "A Saucerful Of Secrets", were released. For the reissue, all the songs on the album have been completely remastered by James Guthrie, Joel Plant and Bernie Grundman. Along with "A Saucerful Of Secrets", the albums "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn", "More" and "Ummagumma" were also re-released. All reissues are released on 180g heavyweight vinyl. The cover artwork is the original design. The only collaborative effort between Syd Barrett and David Gilmour. Pink Floyd's second album "A Saucerful Of Secrets" is available on LP for the first time in over 20 years, on 180g heavyweight vinyl.
