Classic American Rock Band

The Eagles are an iconic American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1971. The group's original lineup consisted of Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner. They are known for their harmonious sound that blends rock with country influences, which became a signature aspect of the Southern California music scene of the 1970s. The Eagles achieved massive commercial success with a string of hit albums and singles. Their album "Hotel California," released in 1976, is one of the best-selling albums of all time, featuring the eponymous hit song and "New Kid in Town." The band's compilation album "Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975" has the distinction of being one of the top-selling albums in history. Throughout their career, they have won numerous awards, including six Grammy Awards, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. The Eagles disbanded in 1980 but reunited in 1994 for the album "Hell Freezes Over" and have since toured intermittently. Following the death of founding member Glenn Frey in 2016, the Eagles continued to tour with new members, including Frey's son Deacon Frey and country musician Vince Gill.
