The album Genesis : Foxtrot, released in October 1972, is often cited as one of the best progressive rock albums of all time. The album was critically acclaimed upon its release and was praised for its musicianship, songwriting and production. In 2003, Rolling Stone magazine ranked it among the 100 greatest albums of all time.
