Enda Walsh

Enda Walsh

Irish Playwright and Screenwriter

Enda Walsh is not an artist, composer, or band known for producing albums like "Lazarus." Instead, Enda Walsh is an Irish playwright and screenwriter, renowned for his work in theatre and film. He gained prominence with his play "Disco Pigs" in 1996, which later was adapted into a film. Walsh's career includes a number of successful plays such as "The Walworth Farce," "The New Electric Ballroom," and "Misterman." He also co-wrote the book for the musical "Once," which won eight Tony Awards including Best Book for a Musical. Additionally, Enda Walsh collaborated with David Bowie on the musical "Lazarus," which is based on the novel "The Man Who Fell to Earth" by Walter Tevis. In this project, Walsh wrote the script while Bowie contributed new songs alongside his existing work. The musical opened in New York in December 2015 and received critical acclaim. Walsh's contribution to the arts has established him as a significant figure in contemporary theatre.
