Frank Zappa: Hot Rats version on vinyl LP in Remastered edition. This particular edition was published in Europe in publishing company Zappa Records in cooperation with Barking Pumpkin Records on 28. August 2016.

Hot Rats (říjen 1969), druhé sólové album Franka Zappy, je jedním z nejvlivnějších jazzových fusion alb vůbec. Byl to Zappův první nahrávací projekt po rozpadu původní verze The Mothers of Invention. Multiinstrumentalista Ian Underwood je jediným členem Mothers, který se na albu objevil, a byl hlavním hudebním spolupracovníkem.

Dalšími hudebníky jsou baskytaristé Max Bennett a Shuggie Otis, bubeníci John Guerin, Paul Humphrey a Ron Selico a hráči na elektrické housle Don "Sugarcane" Harris a Jean-Luc Ponty. Album Hot Rats, první album Franka Zappy nahrané na šestnáctistopém zařízení, bylo zařazeno do knihy 1001 alb, která musíte slyšet, než zemřete, a časopis Al/Music ho ohodnotil čtyřmi a půl hvězdičkami, přičemž Steve Huey poznamenal, že "jen málo alb vytvořených na rockové straně jazzrockové fúze se pohybovalo tak volně mezi oběma stranami rovnice nebo dosáhlo takového neochvějného vzrušení a energie". Modelkou na obálce je slečna Christine ze skupiny GTO's.
