The news of the visionary children brought tens of thousands of people to Fátima, where they witnessed the so-called Miracle of the Sun. Thanks to these events, the Portuguese village is still one of the most important pilgrimage sites of the Roman Catholic Church. The community has been visited several times by Pope John Paul II, and Pope Francis canonized siblings Francis and Jacinta Marto in 2017, on the 100th anniversary of the first Marian apparition. Director Marco Pontecorvo has managed to make a moving film about the power of faith. It tells the story of a miracle that still fascinates people today.
