British singer and all-round talented musician Sting is back again after some time! At the end of September, he has prepared a new album, on which he will present new original material after ten long years...

Sting has named the album "The Last Ship" and will feature twelve original songs. The new songs were written by the acclaimed British artist for the musical of the same name, which is expected to appear on Broadway in 2014. Sting's new album will include not only all the songs that will be used in the musical, but also songs that were written during its preparation, but will not be performed on Broadway...

"The Last Ship" was produced by the acclaimed Rob Mathes, who has worked with Sting in the past, but has also been signed to successful albums by Eric Clapton, Elton John and Lou Reed, among others. The final mixing was done by Donal Hodgson, who has also worked on several of Sting's recent albums...

The sixty-one-year-old artist's new album will be available in several formats. In addition to the basic single-disc version with twelve tracks, a two-disc deluxe edition with five bonus songs will be available. For the most demanding, a super deluxe version will also be released, which will include a special package in addition to a total of twenty songs on two discs. But there will also be a vinyl version, which has become increasingly popular lately...
