Reissues and rarities In 2021, Radiohead will celebrate the 20th anniversary of "Kid A" (2000) and "Amnesiac" (2001) with a special reissue: "Kid A Mnesia" is the title of a new triple album that combines the two LPs and several rarities on three CDs and three LPs respectively. "We humbly present 'Kid A Mnesia'. 'Kid A' & 'Amnesiac' have come of age and with it comes the new album 'Kid Amnesiae', a memory palace of half-remembered, half-forgotten sessions and unreleased material," the band said on Twitter. "Kid A" is the English rock band's fourth studio album. It was originally released on October 2, 2000. After the famous 1997 predecessor "OK Computer", Thom Yorke wanted to go down new musical paths, away from guitar rock. Radiohead were influenced by electronic music, ambient, krautrock, jazz and 20th century classical music and used instruments such as modular synthesizers, winds and strings. "Kid A" became a huge success. The album went to number one in the UK and US and won a Grammy Award in the "Best Alternative Music Album" category. Less than a year later, on June 5, 2001, Radiohead's fifth album "Amnesiac" was released. The songs on the album were written in the same sessions as those on the previous album, and thus show similar musical influences. Radiohead split all the songs between two different albums. "Amnesiac" also reached number one in the UK chart and number two in the US chart. "Kid A Mnesia" collects both albums. A new compilation called "Kid Amnesiae" is available as an encore to the collection. It contains archival material from the sessions. In addition to alternate versions and elements of songs from the album and b-sides, "Kid Amnesiae" also includes the previously unheard song "If You Say The Word" and an unreleased studio recording of "Follow Me Around".
