Recording took place in March 1969 at London's legendary Abbey Road studios, in just eight days. The production was handled by the band themselves. "More" is the first album on which singer and guitarist David Gilmour completely replaced the band's founder Syd Barrett. Most of the 13 songs on the album were written by Roger Waters or in collaboration with band members.
