The album was a commercial failure, selling only 200,000 copies in the United States. However, the album was certified gold by the RIAA. The first single from the album, "Let Me Go, Rock 'n' Roll", was released on September 16, 1974. The song was written by Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. The song was commercially unsuccessful, charting only at number forty-eight on the Billboard Hot 100. The second single from the album, "Rock and Roll All Nite", was released on December 2, 1974. The song was written by Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. The song was commercially successful and charted at number twelve on the Billboard Hot 100. The third single from the album, "Detroit Rock City", was released on January 13, 1975. The song was written by Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons. The song was commercially successful and charted at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100.
