The Kiss album Crazy Nights, released in 1987, was a commercial success. The album included the hit singles "Crazy Crazy Nights" and "Reason to Live" and was certified platinum by the RIAA. Crazy Nights was the band's first album since 1983's Lick It Up and was the first album to feature drummer Eric Carr. It was also the first album to feature guitarist Bruce Kulick, who replaced Ace Frehley in 1984.
