The old Kansas style was ready for a change and became more hard rock and pop and less progressive. The opening haunting track "Silhouettes In Disguise" announces the change to listeners right away. "Power" became a minor hit and the simple chorus is very effective. Steve Morse simply rips through an entire great rock album. Although this is more mainstream rock with some Kansas edges, it is often ranked as one of their best albums.
