Two special nights with Joe Bonamassa Blues rocker and guitar virtuoso Joe Bonamassa is releasing a new live album in 2017 called "Live At Carnegie Hall - An Acoustic Evening". In addition, the recording is also available as a concert film on a double DVD and Blu-ray disc. Just last year, Bonamassa recalled some of his musical heroes on "Live at the Greek Theatre," which was recorded as part of his "Three Kings Tour." Now, on "Live At Carnegie Hall - An Acoustic Evening," he shows his quiet, acoustic side, as the title suggests. The recording was made as part of his acoustic tour at two concerts on January 21 and 22, 2016 at New York's famous Carnegie Hall. The singer and guitarist was backed on stage by absolutely top-notch musicians: pianist Reese Wynans, drummer Anton Fig and Eric Bazilian on mandolin, hurdy-gurdy, saxophone and acoustic guitar. Chinese cellist and erhuist Tina Guo and Egyptian percussionist and composer Hossam Ramzy also participated. Together, they played many classics and hits on both nights, as well as some brand new Bonamassa songs, in a very special, reduced form.
