Jethro Tull: Living In The Past version on vinyl 2LP in Standard edition. This particular edition was published in Europe in publishing company Chrysalis on 26. February 2016.
Jethro Tull are a unique phenomenon in pop history. Their broad musical spectrum combined with sometimes surreal lyrics has not only led them to an exceptional position in the progressive rock genre during their long career, but has also earned them eleven gold and five platinum albums in their home country of the UK alone. Founded in 1967 by Ian Anderson, they have sold at least 60 million albums worldwide. When this (first) greatest hits collection was released in June 1972, Jethro Tull were among the biggest stars of the rock circus after Stand Up, Aqualung and Thick As A Brick. So it seemed the time had come for the first interim revision, which proved to be much more substantial than the later ones. Living In The Past combines tracks from the album, outtakes, singles and some live tracks to bring out the best of both Tull worlds: Their more sensitive studio side and their rocking stage presence. The title track "A Song For Jeffrey", the intimate instrumental "Bourée", the first hit "Witches Promise" or even "Locomotive Breath" (still a "favorite" on radio today) remain Tull calling cards full of character.
Album spans genres Rock, Progressive rock and Folk Rock. 180g 180gm Vinyl.
