"A" is the thirteenth studio album by the British progressive rock legend. Originally intended to be a solo album by Ian Anderson, it was credited to Jethro Tull at the insistence of the Chrysalis record company, although it featured only two members of the former band: Anderson and guitarist Martin Barre. Additional support was provided by Dave Pegg (bass, mandolin) and Mark Craney (drums), as well as Eddie Jobson of Roxy Music (keyboards, synthesizer and electric violin). Jethro Jethro's classic 1980 album "A" will be re-released in 2021 in a deluxe edition with three CDs and three DVDs entitled "A (A La Mode) (The 40th Anniversary Edition)". For "A (A La Mode) (The 40th Anniversary Edition)", none other than Steven Wilson handled the album and other recordings, creating new stereo and surround mixes.
