Deep Purple: Machine Head LTD version on vinyl LP in Remastered limited edition. This particular edition was published in Europe and UK in publishing company Purple Records in cooperation with Universal Music Catalogue on 29. January 2016.

After finishing recording in late 1971, Deep Purple released Machine Head on March 25, 1972. The group's sixth full-length immediately reached number one in the UK charts and stayed there for several weeks, thanks to the singles "Never Before", "Lazy" and "Highway Star", among others. Machine Head were relatively slow to establish themselves in the United States, partly because "Smoke on the Water" was not released as a single until May 1973. The song became Purple's most successful American single (it reached No. 4 on the Billboard chart, as did "Hush" in 1968) and pushed the parent album to No. 7. In total, Machine Head spent more than two years on the American charts, while Deep Purple became world-famous hard rock heavyweights. Even decades later, it remains the band's best album.
