In Germany, it sold more copies in the first two days after its release than its predecessor "NOW What?!" in its first week. A surprising result, because "NOW What?!" also topped the charts. Globally, too, all indications are that "inFinite" will be the best-selling album since the groundbreaking "Perfect Strangers" (1984). After just two days, the album went gold in Russia and the Czech Republic, topping the iTunes charts in six countries and the Top 5 in more than 20 countries on the day of release.Deep Purple also managed a Top 10 (#6) in their home country of the UK for the first time in 33 years.Deep Purple are far from tired Deep Purple are releasing a new album in 2017. "InFinite" is the title of their 20th LP, the follow-up to the globally successful "Now What?!" Ian Gillan (vocals), Steve Morse (guitar), Don Airey (keyboards), Ian Paice (drums) and Roger Glover (bass) went into the studio again last year with star producer Bob Ezrin. Ezrin was behind the mixing desk during the recording of their predecessor. With the somber "Time For Bedlam," the hard rockers gave their music its first taste back in February.
