This album is a live recording of David Bowie's Glass Spider Concert Special, played at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, Canada on August 30, 1987. The album contains many of Bowie's hits from the 1970s and 1980s, as well as cover versions of songs by other artists. The concert was very theatrical, with Bowie performing as the Glass Spider character on a large stage resembling a spider. The album was released in 1988 and was a commercial success, reaching number three in the UK Albums Chart.
