Jørgen Larsen became President of UMGI in 1993. In June 1998, in preparation for the acquisition of PolyGram by Universal parent Seagram (completed in January 1999), he was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of UMGI until his retirement on June 30, 2006. Lucian Grainge became Chairman and CEO of UMGI on July 1, 2006. On January 1, 2013 Max Hole was appointed Chairman and CEO of UMGI until October 21, 2015.
