British Progressive Rock Band

Rare Bird was a progressive rock band formed in London, England, in 1969. The group was notable for their distinctive sound, largely due to their use of electric keyboards as the main instrument instead of guitars, which was unusual for rock bands at the time. Their lineup consisted of Graham Field on keyboards, Steve Gould on vocals and bass, Mark Ashton on drums, and David Kaffinetti on keyboards. Rare Bird released their self-titled debut album in 1969, which included their most successful single "Sympathy." The song achieved significant chart success, particularly in France and Italy.
