ACT Anniversary Soundtrack It's been 25 years since Siggi Loch fulfilled his childhood dream and founded ACT in 1992 after an unprecedented career as a producer and manager in the international music industry. From the very beginning, his goal was to create a platform for musicians who can directly touch, inspire and captivate their audiences, who can leave the beaten track, take risks and create their own music "in the spirit of jazz". After 25 years and more than 500 releases, this statement can be considered fulfilled: ACT is helping to make jazz history as a "discovery label" whose family of musicians includes leading jazz figures. Even in the case of the "Jubilee Album" for this proud anniversary, ACT does not live up to expectations. With the exception of three tracks that can be considered "signature songs" of ACT's philosophy, all of the tracks are unreleased and a good half of them were recorded especially for the occasion in a changing "all-star line-up" in the Berlin studio of Hansa. The result is a newly formulated cross-section of music that moves the heart, soul and spirit in equal measure, for which ACT stands: a kaleidoscope of magical musical moments by its artists, open to all genres and styles. "Jubilee Album" is a retrospective and a look into the future in one. Through outstanding compositions and artists, it proves that ACT was, is and will remain a reliable compass for new, exciting music "in the spirit of jazz".
