V německých kinech sice až v říjnu, ale nejnovější dílo z dílny DreamWorks Animation Studios už vrhá svůj stín dopředu: s americkou superhvězdou Justinem Timberlakem se režisér Mike Mitchell ("Navždy Shrek", "Alvin a Chipmunkové", "SpongeBob SquarePants 3D") upsal nejen známému hlasovému herci (v originále namluvil "drsného přeživšího" Trolla Branche), ale devítinásobný držitel ceny Grammy se ujal i pozice výkonného hudebního producenta. V této roli napsal pětatřicetiletý autor hudbu k filmu a také píseň "Can't Stop The Feeling!", která v Německu několik týdnů vedla žebříčky singlů a vysílání.

Soundtrack k filmu "Trollové" obsahuje kromě filmové hudby i tři zcela nové Timberlakeovy písně. Album obsahuje také coververze velkých popových klasik, které nazpívali Anna Kendrick, Gwen Stefani, James Corden, Icona Pop, Zooey Deschanel a Ariana Grande. Timberlake a Kendricková společně nahráli novou verzi hitu Cyndi Lauper "True Colors", kterou lze ve filmu také slyšet.
