As a producer and guitarist, Mick Ronson has worked with artists such as Lou Reed, Morrissey, Ian Hunter and Mott The Hoople, Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp and many others, but this film is all about his indispensable contribution to David Bowie's colourful career and that entire musical era. The soundtrack is being released alongside the DVD and Blu-ray versions of Beside Bowie: The Mick Ronson Story", which includes exclusive content. This is the first official retrospective of the guitar virtuoso's career, featuring selected tracks from his solo albums as well as material from his most important collaborations with David Bowie, Elton John, Ian Hunter, Queen and Michael Chapman. The compilation also includes a previously unreleased cover version of Def Leppard's "This Is For You" and a special tribute from pianist and David Bowie protégé Mike Garson (David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins).
