Established in 1989 by the "National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences" (organizer of the Grammy Awards), the American MusiCares Foundation annually recognizes individuals and institutions that have made a charitable contribution, such as supporting social or medical projects. In 2013, Bruce Springsteen won the "Person of the Year" award and MusiCares organized a concert in his honor in Los Angeles, which is now being released on DVD and Blu-ray: in addition to a number of artists who each performed a Springsteen song (among others, the "Springsteen Song of the Year"), the concert was also presented by MusiCares.
