Celosvětovou popularitu kapele přineslo čtvrté album Toto IV (1982), za které získala v několika zemích platinové ocenění. Zejména hity "Rosanna" a "Africa" z tohoto alba definitivně potvrdily status skupiny jako prvotřídní, rádiové AOR kapely. Alba se do roku 1983 prodaly miliony kopií a skupina za něj získala celkem šest cen Grammy.

Podle členů kapely bylo možné Bobbyho Kimballa slyšet pouze jako doprovodného vokalistu na následujícím albu 'Isolation' z roku 1984 a nakonec byl vyhozen. Hlavní vokály na tomto albu převzal Fergie Frederiksen. Album se také několikrát stalo zlatým a s písní 'Stranger In Town' se stalo nejlépe umístěným mainstreamovým rockovým singlem.

Obě alba jsou nyní poprvé k dispozici v remasterované podobě u společnosti Rock Candy. Jsou vybavena rozsáhlými novými poznámkami pod čarou, novým masteringem ve 24 BIT a vzácnými archivními snímky v bookletu.

By 1983, the album had sold millions of copies and the band won a total of six Grammy Awards. On the following album, "Isolation", released in 1984, Bobby Kimball was heard only as a backing vocalist, according to band members, and was eventually fired. Lead vocals on the album were taken over by Fergie Frederiksen. The album also went gold several times and became the highest charting mainstream rock single with the song "Stranger In Town". Both albums are now available for the first time in remastered form from Rock Candy. They feature extensive new liner notes, new mastering in 24 BIT and rare archival images in the booklet.
