Reactor is an album by Neil Young & Crazy Horse , released in 1981. The album was Young's first collaboration with Crazy Horse since 1970's "Live Rust". The album was recorded at the Record Plant in Sausalito, California. The album reached number 26 on the Billboard 200. The album received a gold certificate from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipping 500,000 copies in the United States. The album was generally well received by music critics. Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic awarded the album four stars out of five, calling it "a strong, if not always consistent album". The album's lead single, "Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)", was a hit on rock radio and became one of Young's most popular songs. The album was remastered and re-released on CD in 2009.
