It's hard to believe that Meat Loaf's fifth studio album "Blind Before I Stop" is 35 years old. Recorded in Germany and released in 1986, this was his first album fully dedicated to the 80s sound. Meat Loaf co-wrote three songs on the album. Two of them, the title track "Blind Before I Stop" and "Rock 'n' Roll Mercenaries (with John Parr)", were released as singles and reached the UK charts. The latter track was only performed live as a duo once, as Meat Loaf failed to bring Parr on stage during a London concert and the two never spoke again. The third single, "Special Girl", became a minor hit in the US and Canada.
