King Crimson's album "Three of a Perfect Pair", released in 1984, was a critical and commercial success. The album was produced by the band themselves and recorded in various studios in the UK. It was the band's eighth studio album and the first to feature new drummer Pat Mastelotto and bassist Tony Levin. The album was a mixture of new and old material, with the title track being the only new song on the album. The album was well received by critics, many of whom praised the band's new sound. The album charted at number 47 on the UK Albums Chart and was awarded a Silver Certificate by the British Phonographic Industry.
