The album "DRASTIC MEASURES", originally released in 1983, was the second album by the band to feature new singer John Elephante - an appointment necessitated by the departure of Steve Walsh. Not surprisingly, the band's sound evolved, moving with the times and exhibiting a more accessible colour. Sure, the progressive rock element was still quite audible, but the songs and their delivery fit in with the flow of men with a mission. Definitely AOR, but with an edge and urgency that didn't leave much room for debate. The sound produced by Neil Kernon (Queensryche, Dokken) is both contemporary and sophisticated, allowing the band to fully embrace their past while utilizing the latest technology. Includes the single Fight Fire With Fire, which reached the top five of the rock charts.
