The 3-CD/2-LP Super Deluxe Edition features a newly remastered version of the classic double album with over an hour of unreleased music and unreleased demos of "Fireflies" and "One More Night" on bonus 7" vinyl. When Fleetwood Mac released their first live album in December 1980, it captured the band at its most iconic, showcasing the full range of their creative abilities on stage. Recorded largely during the Tusk world tour, Fleetwood Mac Live is a double album of riveting performances, including huge hits like "Dreams" and "Go Your Own Way," "Rhiannon" and "Don't Stop." Rhino has now given this live debut from the band a well-deserved encore in the form of a 3 CD/2 LP collection, featuring a remastered version of the original album on 180g vinyl and CD, complete with a third CD featuring over an hour of previously unreleased live music recorded between 1977 and 1982. The set also includes a bonus 7" single with previously unreleased demo versions of "Fireflies" and "One More Night". This super deluxe edition comes in a 12 x 12 hardcover with a booklet full of rare photos, a Tusk tour itinerary and a live album history by author David Wild. He writes: "Then and now, Fleetwood Mac Live represents a fascinating stage for a band that has been on the world stage in one way or another for over a century..... It's a hugely entertaining rock'n'roll circus in full effect under a large roof created by the band itself, leaving audiences in awe everywhere from Paris, France to Passaic, New Jersey. The majority of the double album was recorded live between 1979 and 1980, with a few exceptions: "Don't Let Me Down Again" was recorded during a 1975 tour for Fleetwood Mac, "Dreams" and "Don't Stop" were taken from the band's soundcheck in Paris, "Fireflies," "One More Night" and a cover of The Beach Boys' "Farmer's Daughter" were recorded during a special concert in California for the band members, their families and friends. The fourteen live tracks that debut on the Super Deluxe Edition cover a wider time span than on the original release. They include seven songs from the Tusk tour (1979-1980), four from the Rumours tour (1977) and three from the Mirage tour (1982). These great encores include live versions of "Tusk", "Gold Dust Woman" and "Songbird", plus "The Green Manalishi (With The Two-Pronged Crown)", a song written in 1970 by guitarist Peter Green, who formed Fleetwood Mac with Mick Fleetwood and Jeremy Spencer in 1967.
