The Dio album: The Last In Line, released in 1984, was the second album by Ronnie James' band of the same name, Dio. The album followed the band's successful debut Holy Diver and continued in the same vein as its predecessor, with heavy metal and hard rock tracks. The album was commercially successful, reaching number four on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified platinum by the RIAA. The album's lead single, "The Last in Line", reached the top ten of the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. Other singles from the album, "We Rock" and "I Speed at Night", were also successful at rock radio. The album was well received by music critics, who praised its musicianship and songwriting qualities.
