"3 Feet High and Rising" je debutové studiové album hiphopového tria De La Soul, které vyšlo 3. března 1989.

Představovalo první ze tří celovečerních spoluprací s producentem Princem Paulem, které se pro obě strany staly kritickým i komerčním vrcholem. Album bylo úspěšné jak z hlediska kritiky, tak z hlediska komerčního. Obsahuje singly "Me Myself and I", "The Magic Number", "Buddy" a "Eye Know".

Název alba pochází z písně Johnnyho Cashe "Five Feet High and Rising". Album je zařazeno do žebříčku 200 Essential Rock Records časopisu Rolling Stone a do žebříčku 100 Best Rap Albums časopisu The Source. Když časopis Village Voice v roce 1989 pořádal každoroční anketu kritiků Pazz & Jop, album 3 Feet High and Rising se umístilo na prvním místě. Album bylo také zařazeno do seznamu 500 nejlepších alb všech dob časopisu Rolling Stone.

Album De La Soul vyšlo v roce 1989 uprostřed rozmachu gangsta rapu, který se soustředil na drsné, konfrontační a násilné texty. Díky svému jedinečnému pozitivnímu stylu se De La Soul stali kuriozitou hned od svého prvního singlu "Me, Myself and I". Díky svému pozitivnímu přístupu byli mnohými pozorovateli označováni za "hippie" kapelu, neboť představovali "D.A.I.S.Y.". Age" (Da.Inner.Soul.Yall).
Na albu "3 Feet High and Rising" se podíleli tak různí umělci jako Hall & Oates, Steely Dan a The Turtles.
