The Very Best of Chris Rea is the third compilation album by British singer-songwriter Chris Rea, released in 2001. The last track, "Saudade", was originally written and recorded in 1994 as a tribute to Formula One racer Ayrton Senna, who died in an accident in Imola on 1 May that year. The word "Saudade" in Portuguese means roughly the feeling, emotion and euphoria of a particular moment. It reached number 69 in the UK album chart and was awarded a gold record by the BPI in 2004.
