"Black Sabbath: Tyr," released in 1990, is the fifteenth studio album by the English heavy metal band Black Sabbath. The lineup during this period featured Tony Iommi on guitar, Cozy Powell on drums, Neil Murray on bass, Tony Martin as the lead vocalist, and Geoff Nicholls on keyboards. "Tyr" did not feature founding members Geezer Butler and Bill Ward, nor was it fronted by the band's most famous vocalist, Ozzy Osbourne. The tracks "Anno Mundi," "The Law Maker," "Jerusalem," "The Sabbath Stones," "The Battle Of Tyr," "Odin's Court," "Valhalla," "Feels Good To Me," and "Heaven In Black" showcase a blend of heavy metal with thematic storytelling, which was characteristic of Black Sabbath's work during this era. Despite its ambitious concept, the album received mixed reviews and did not achieve the same commercial success as some of the band's earlier records.
