Black Sabbath : The End is the nineteenth and final studio album by English rock band Black Sabbath.It was released on 4 February 2017 and is the band's first album in 35 years to feature original singer Ozzy Osbourne and bassist Geezer Butler, and is also the last album to feature drummer Bill Ward. The album was recorded in Los Angeles, California and Birmingham, England and produced by Rick Rubin. Black Sabbath : The End was met with generally mixed reviews from music critics, who praised Osbourne's vocals but criticized the album's length and lack of originality. The album debuted at number six on the Billboard 200. It sold 49,000 units in its first week, 48,000 of which were pure album sales. It also debuted at number one in the United Kingdom, the band's first number one album since 1995's Forbidden. Black Sabbath : The End was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipments of more than 500,000 units in the United States.
