Arcade Fire is an indie rock band from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The band consists of Win Butler (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Régine Chassagne (vocals, keyboards, accordion), Richard Reed Parry (guitar, keyboards, vocals), William Butler (keyboards, guitar, percussion), Tim Kingsbury (bass, guitar, keyboards) and Jeremy Gara (drums, percussion). The first album Funeral was released in September 2004 to critical acclaim. The album was nominated for a 2005 Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album and the band was nominated for a 2005 Juno Award for New Group of the Year. A second album, Neon Bible, was released in March 2007. In 2008, it was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album. The band's third album, The Suburbs, was released in August 2010. In 2011, it was nominated for a Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
