According to the official website: Record label started in 1981 by Ulrich Balss, basically to have Finnish band Piirpauke's music made available, this band finding no support from the record industry back then. With the founding of the label and publishing company in 1981, the company referred to today as JARO Medien GmbH took its final shape. Originally located in Enger, it has been at home in Bremen for more than twenty years. Today JARO is a record label, music publisher, concert agency and distributor.
