Twilight of the Gods is a heavy metal supergroup formed as a tribute to the classic metal bands of the 1980s. The band's name is inspired by the opera "Götterdämmerung" by Richard Wagner, which translates to "Twilight of the Gods." The group was initially conceived as a Bathory tribute band but evolved to create original material. Their lineup consists of experienced musicians from various well-known metal acts. Members include Alan Averill from Primordial on vocals, Patrik Lindgren from Thyrfing on guitar, Rune Eriksen from Aura Noir and ex-Mayhem on guitar, Frode Glesnes from Einherjer on bass, and Nick Barker, formerly of Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir, on drums.
