Piledriver

Piledriver is a Canadian heavy metal band that was formed in the mid-1980s. The band is known for its theatrical shock rock style and over-the-top lyrics, which often focus on themes of horror and violence. Piledriver released their debut album "Metal Inquisition" in 1985, which gained a cult following due to its aggressive style and provocative content. They followed up with their second album "Stay Ugly" in 1986. The band's image and marketing were somewhat mysterious, with the frontman adopting the stage persona of "The Exalted Piledriver." Despite their initial impact on the metal scene, Piledriver did not achieve widespread commercial success and remained a cult act. Their career was relatively short-lived, and they disbanded after their second album. However, they have since gained a retrospective appreciation among fans of underground metal.
