Luc Ferrari

Innovative French Electroacoustic Composer

Luc Ferrari (1929–2005) was a pioneering French composer of electronic music and musique concrète. He was a significant figure in the development of electroacoustic music, exploring the boundaries between music, sound, and noise. Ferrari studied piano at an early age before turning to composition. He attended the Paris Conservatoire, where he studied with Arthur Honegger and later became a student of Edgard Varèse during the latter's brief period teaching in Paris.
