Andrew Gold was an American singer, songwriter, musician, and arranger whose career spanned from the 1970s into the early 21st century. Born on August 2, 1951, in Burbank, California, Gold was a multi-instrumentalist who played guitar, keyboard, bass, and drums. He gained prominence as a member of Linda Ronstadt's backing band in the mid-1970s and contributed to her albums "Heart Like a Wheel," "Prisoner in Disguise," and "Hasten Down the Wind," among others.
