"To All The Girls..." combines two great strengths of the eternally young Willie Nelson: good songs and talented women. Decades of emotional moments in concert and love songs from the pen of Willie Nelson have contributed to the image of arguably the greatest romantic in country music. And the fact that the octogenarian Nelson has remained image-wise super cool (even to a younger generation) is his particular strength. On his new album "To All The Girls..." (the third in a year and a half!), he has invited some of the best and most interesting female artists of today to record duets, and the selection of sound names is not limited to the realm of pure country: in addition to country ladies Dolly Parton, Miranda Lambert, Emmylou Harris, Carrie Underwood and Loretta Lynn, representatives of other musical genres such as Mavis Staples, Norah Jones, Sheryl Crow and, more recently, the highly acclaimed Secret Sisters appear on the album, which contains 18 tracks in total. Like her previous two albums, "Heroes" and "Let's Face The Music And Dance," it was produced by Nashville legend Buddy Cannon. Review ,,Musical Methuselah flirts vivaciously with Carrie Underwood in the new release ,,Always On My Mind" and moves not at all stiffly alongside partner Shelby Lynne in the western swing number ,,Will You Remember Me".
