Walter Trout's Motivational Album After a life-threatening liver disease and nearly six months in intensive care, blues legend Walter Trout is finally recovering. In the song "Battle Scars" you'll hear how he's doing again, but also what scars he's left from his life and death struggle. The new album from the blues rocker who once rose to fame alongside John Lee Hooker and John Mayall has thus become autobiographical, at least in part. Walter Trout comes to terms with his illness, ticking it off in "Battle Scars" while daring to look forward with hope and a strong will. All of this comes through in eleven charged blues-rock tracks and a prelude that oozes with power and life energy. Musically and vocally, Walter Trout is in top form. Always at the musician's side is his long-standing band, which includes keyboardist Sammy Avila, drummer Michael Leasure and his new Swedish bassist Johnny Griparic, who has previously played with musicians such as Slash and Richie Kotzen. Walter Trout is embarking on a major world tour with them in 2015 to make up for the concerts marking the 25th anniversary of his solo career, which he had to cancel due to illness. He will therefore also come to Germany for four concerts at the end of the year. For the production of the album Trout again collaborated with his good friend and producer Eric Corn.
