Volbeat's sixth studio album "Seal the Deal & Let's Boogie" was released on June 3, 2016. The album was produced by longtime collaborator Jacob Hansen and features guest appearances by Mikkel Kessler, Danko Jones and Mille Petrozza. The first single from the album, "The Devil's Bleeding Crown", was released on April 20, 2016. The album debuted at number one on the Danish album chart and the US Billboard 200, selling 51,000 copies in its first week. It was certified gold in the US and Denmark. The album received generally positive reviews from music critics. On Metacritic, which assigns a standard rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics, the album received an average score of 73, which means a "generally favorable rating", based on 9 reviews. AllMusic's Stephen Thomas Erlewine called it "a bracing blast of metal and rockabilly that's as infectious as it is loud", while Rolling Stone's Jon Dolan said it "finds the perfect balance between metal muscle and rootsy heart". The album was nominated for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance at 59.
